Cleaning

To clean your down jacket, we recommend using a dry cleaning service to make maintaining your down jacket easier.

Nevertheless, you can also maintain your down jacket yourself by strictly following the instructions below.

Step 1: Washing

Hand washing with water and a little soap (the most delicate method)

Machine washing with two or three tennis balls or other clothes (to ensure the down is well fluffed). Use the program for synthetic clothes (or wool/delicate) and a temperature of 30°C (no higher). Add your usual detergent and start the wash cycle.

However, be careful to set a gentle spin cycle, as too strong a spin can create difficult-to-undo clumps of feathers.

Step 2: Drying

Drying can be done outdoors, laid flat on a drying rack (lying flat and not on a hanger). Make sure the down jacket is exposed to air on both sides. Shake it, pat it, and turn it regularly to encourage good distribution within the channels.

Tumble drying on a synthetic program with tennis balls and some clothes to thoroughly tumble and air the down jacket can be another solution.

Never dry your down jacket on a radiator.
